    Earl W. Tonsing, of Wadsworth, O., beloved husband of Dorothy, dear father of Mrs Judy Schrengauer, Lynn and Laurie, son of Walter and Greta, brother of Robert; passed away suddenly Monday. Friends received 2 TO 4 AND 7 TO 9 P.M. WEDNESDAY at the Donald B. Johnson Funeral Home, 521 Broadway, Bedford, O. Services Thursday, Nov. 8 1962 at 1:30 p.m.

    Driver in fatal my be charged
    A charge of traffic manslaughter against Dallas Bishop, 21, of 311 Lake Ave., when he is released from Southern Lorain County Hospital, Wellington, is being considered by authorities the State Highway Patrol reported.
    Bishop was the driver of the car involved in the accident at Rts 18 and 301 yesterday in which Earl W. Tonsing, 41, of 568 Highland Ave., Wadsworth, was killed.
    The patrol reported Bishop was driving north on Rt. 301 and failed to make the safety stop, hitting the Tonsing car, westbound on Rt. 18. Both cars were “demolished” the patrol reported.
    Mr. Tonsing was pronounced dead at the hospital in Wellington.
    Bishop was admitted with a broken nose, chin laceration, and scrapes on the chest, arms and legs. His condition was listed as “fair.”

    Traffic death case jury is dismissed
    A jury that was trying Dallas Bishop, 21, of 311 Lake Ave., on a charge of traffic manslaughter was dismissed at 7:40 p.m. yesterday by Common Pleas Judge LeRoy F. Kelley when the panel failed to agree after 4 hours and 40 minutes of deliberation.
    Bishop was indicted for the death of Earl W. Tonsing, 41, Wadsworth, in a collision the morning of Nov. 5. According to testimoney, Bishop was going north on Rt. 301 and Tonsing west on Rt. 18 when their cars collided.
    Bishop testified that he was overcome by carbon monoxide gas from a leaky exhaust pipe on his car and blacked out. Traffic on Rt. 301 is supposed to for Rt. 18.
    The trial lasted two days. Jurors said following their dismissed that they stood 11 to 1 for conviction. A criminal conviction requires a unanimous verdict.
