Death Notice | Cleveland Plain Dealer, January 11, 1940, p. 5 MRS. ANNA HAAS MISS DORA HAMBRECHT Death yesterday had claimed two members of the family of Frank Hambrecht, 1615 Rowley Avenue S. W. His mother-in-law, Mrs. Anna Hass, 77, died at noon Tuesday at his home and 12 hours later his sister, Miss Dora Hambrecht, 57, died at Deaconess Hospital. Mrs. Haas, a resident of the West Side since she came here from Germany 56 years ago, had been in ill health a year and a half. Miss Hambrecht was forewoman at the Joseph & Feiss Co., where she was employed 30 years, until she became ill 2 1/2 years ago. Mrs. Haas, widow of John Haas, a brewery worker, who died in 1938 spent her entire life here on W. 47th Street until her husband’s death. She will be buried tomorrow in Riverside Cemetery after services at 9 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Miss Hambrecht, a lifelong resident of the West Side, was educated at Sackett School. She was a member of Ellbrook Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Al Sirat Caldron and Zion Evangelical Church. Eastern Star services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lindhorst funeral home, 1610 Clark Avenue S.W. Mrs. Haas is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Erna Hambrecht; two sons, Harry and Henry, and 10 grandchildren. Miss Hambrecht, who lived at 2110 Titus Avenue S. W., is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Schorn, and two brothers, George and Frank. | |
