Death Notice | Grand Rapids Herald, August 20, 1955, p. 13 Wife of Founder of Machine, Tool Firm Mrs. Bertha M. Jarecki, wife of Frank J. Jarecki, founder of the Jarecki Machine & Tool Co., now the Jarecki Corporation, died unexpectedly Friday evening at Butterworth Hospital. She was 80 years old. Mrs. Jarecki was born in Berlin, Germany, and with her parents came to Grand Rapids when she was 2 years old, and had lived here ever since. Sher was member of the Ladies Literary Club and one of the earliest members of the Women’s City Club. The family residence is at 845 Iroquois SE. Mrs. Jarecki’s maiden name was Bertha Kasper. She was married to Frank J. Jarecki Dec. 26, 1899. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gustav H. Walgren; one son, Clare F. Jarecki, President and General Manager of Jarecki Corporation; a sister, Mrs. Martha Moroney; four granddaughters, and two grandsons, all of Grand Rapids, and several nieces and nephews. | |
