Mary was born August 13, 1914 in Kalamazoo the daughter of John and Martha Hermannette and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo and Portage area. On July 24, 1944 she was united in marriage to Clifford Rose who preceded her in death in ????. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Denny and Daniel Rose, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are 7 children, Betty Evans of Parchment, Gladys Crampton of Kalamazoo, James Saline of Portage, Thomas Rose of Kalamazoo, Neva Rose of Kalamazoo, Michael Rose of Comstock, Tipp Rose of Battle Creek, 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1:00 o’clock Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 K Centre with Pastor Herb Hutchinson officiating. Internment will follow in Mt. Ever Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Portage Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the D.A.V.
