Death Notice | The Herald" (Piedmont, W.Va.), Friday 29 March 1912: "Mrs. Katherine Hoban, widow of the late Mr. M. J. Hoban, an old citizen of Westernport, died at Mercy Hospital, Baltimore, Md., where she had been taken for treatment, at 12 o'clock Saturday night 23 March 1912. Mrs. Hoban leaves four children, Mrs. J. T. Laughlin of Luke; Mrs. J. F. Laughlin, Westernport; Mrs. William Foley of Cumberland, and Mr. John F. Hoban, the well-known undertaker of Piedmont. The remains were brought to her home in Westernport Sunday night on No. 1 and the funeral took place at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning from St. Peter's Catholic Church Requiem High Mass was sung by Rev. T. E. Gallagher, assisted by Rev. Father Flood as deacon and Rev. Father Quinn, as subdeacon. The floral offerings were bery beautiful. The pallbearers were Messrs. Patrick A.
