      Brothers Take Wives in Double Wedding
      A double wedding was held Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Deem, 1825 Charles avenue, the occasion being the marriage of their two sons, Clare Raymond Deem, of Jackson, to Miss Theo Floy Turk, also of Jackson, and Merrill Johnson Deem to Miss Jeanette Herma, of Kalamazoo.
      The ceremony took place at 8 o’clock, being read by the Rev. F. E. George, pastor of the East Avenue Methodist church, in the presence of relatives and a few friends of the families.
      Miss Turk’s wedding dress was of blue silk and her flowers were pink roses. Miss Herma wore white poplin and Georgette crepe, and also carried pink roses. The ring bearer waws Miss Ruth Darrow, of Nashville. The wedding march was played by Miss Ruth George.
      The home was attractively decorated with sprays of syringa and clusters of roses. The brides were favored with many gifts of linen, cut glass and silver. Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Deem will reside at 403 Tyson street, Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Deem will live at 715 South Burdick street, Kalamazao.
      Guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Holmes and two daughters, Thelma and Eelyn of Vicksburg; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stafford of Vicksburg; Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Scott, of Mendon; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Darrow and children of Nashville; Miss Hazel Griffith, Dr. and Mrs. F. Holmes, Mrs. Mittie Cutshaw and daughter, Barbara, Mrs. Peter Korstange and son, Bobbie, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Noble, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Deem and Mrs. Martha Hand.
