He was born in Kalamazoo Feb. 26, 1934. He moved to Birmingham Ala. 10 years ago. He was employed at the White Tiger Industrial Packing Co. as a machine operator. He is survived by his wife, Lonita Campbell, a son, Rick Campbell of Kalamazoo; daughters, Pamela Wadley of Boldnob, Ark. Deborah Merchant and Penny Saline both of Kalamazoo, and Kathleen Williams of Pinson, Ala.; step-sons Paul Strong and Clifford Van Atti of Sarasota, Fla., Raymond Cullen Jr. of Pascagoula, Miss., Arthur Van Atti of Pleasant Shade, Tenn., and Danny Cullen of Kalamazoo; a brother, Willard Campbell of Kalamazoo; a sister, Bernice Williford of Ft. Myers, Fla; 22 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday at Jefferson Memorial Funeral HOme Center Point Chapel in Birmingham. Interment was at Bethlehem Cemetery.
