He graduated from Howell High School, served in WWII in the Army, and was a member of the V.F.W. He retired from Kelvinator in 1983; was a custodian at Gethsemane Lutheran Church for 30 years and was an active member there since 1963. He also volunteered at Luther Home for 10 years and drove to deliver Meals At Home. Mr. Hath is survived by his wife Agnes; children, Dorothy Ross, Sharon Harig, David (Judy) Hath, Toni (Brian) Postema, Dawn Gorski, Roger Sorensen, Sharon (Alan) Supp, Dolores Sorensen; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Harold (Amy) Hath, Lyle (Sharon) Hath, Darwin (Rosemary) Hath, Becky (George) Smythe, Grace Crabtree, Marion Hayner; sister-in-law, Bev Hath, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral and Committal services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3152 Clyde Park SW with Rev. Paul Phelps officiating. The family will receive visitors Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park, SW and Sunday 3 to 4 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of MI or Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
