  Death Notice	The Pemberville Leader, May 13, 1926 CHS. HANSEN DEAD Mr. Charles Hansen, Sr., a former citizen of Pemberville, died at the home of his son, Charles Hansen, Jr., on the McCutchenville Road, Sunday mroning, of nephritis. He was 86 years old. The funeral was held from Bethlemem’s Ev. Lutheran Church on Tuesday afternoon aat 2:20 o’clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. W. Kuntz, assisted by Rev. W. C. Egbert of the Lutheran Church, New Rochester. Burial in Long cemetery. He is survived by three sons and two daughters: John of Gibsonburg; Herman, of Toledo, and Charles, of Webster township; Mrs. Henry Hoodlebrink, of Pemberville, and Mrs. Wm. Finn, of Luckey. Twenty-eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive. Mr. Hansen was born on May 12, 1840, at Pommerania, Germany. In his native land he was baptized in infancy, instructed in the Word of God and confirmed a member ot the Ev. Lutheran Church. He was married to Miss Emma Frederica Muense. The date of their marriage could not be ascertained. Soon after their marriage, they came to this country and settled at Woodville. After residing there a few years, the family moved to Pemberville. Mrs. Hansen died at their home near Pemberville on March 7, 1893. In May, 1894, he was married to Mrs. Mary Driftmeyer. She died in June, 1918. About two years ago, Mr. Hansen moved to New Rochester to live with his son Charles.  [1]
