    Earl Davis, Long Lake, Dies at 45
    Earl Davis , of Route 5, Long lake died at 7 this morning at Borgess hospital following a five weeks illness. He was born Sept. 10, 1898 in Koscuisko County, Indiana, and was the son of Melvin and Hattie Davis. He had made his home in Kalamazoo for the last 15 years, and had been employed as cutter-man at the Monarch Paper mill.
    Survivors are his wife, Mable Swinhart Davis; two sons, Marion F. of Elkhart, Ind. and Claude E. Davis of Kalamazoo; his mother, Mrs. Hatite Davis, Syracuse, Ind. one siter, Mrs. Viola McKinley, Denver, Colo; two brothers, Charles Davis of Kalamazoo and Claude Davis of Bourbon, Ind; and five grandchildren.  [1
