  Nathan Kellogg was “a native of Connecticut” and Fanny Kellogg was a native of New York. “After their marriage in the Empire State, they removed to Pennsylvania, and came thence to Washtenaw Co., Mich. The father [Nathan] went to California in 1852, where he died not long after. The mother lives in Lima, Washtenaw Co., Mich. Susan, Joseph and Jonathan , Willima, Minnie, Harriet, Daniel, Charlotte and George and a child who died in infancy, comprise the ten children born to them.” Nathan’s father may have been a son of Martin Kellogg. He may have been born in Connecticut and killed in the army during the war of 1812. 1872: Asahel B. Davis to Joseph Kellogg--of northeast 1/4, sec. 19, township 8 north, range 6 east, which lies north of the Jackson road; $1,400. 1876: The Central Pacific Railroad Company sold the following to Nathan Kellogg: East half of the southwest quarter of Section 19, township 8 north, range 6 east, 80 acres; $200. 1876: A Nathan Kellogg sold the East half of northwest quarter of section 19, in township 8 north, range 6 east, 80 acres, California near Sacramento; $1,600 to Nicholas Dunlap in 1876.E 1884: Estate of Nathan Kellogg, deceased--Settlement of final account and petition for distribution submitted and taken under advisement.
