For six or seven years after marriage Solomon Juday resided in Ohio, but he came to Elkhart county, Ind., in the fall of 1835 and settled in Benton township. He cleared up a good farm of nearly 182 acres, and at one time owned 260 acres. However, he sold eighty acres of this, but still had a fine farm left.
