  Death Notice	The Arenac County Independent, Dec 30, 1998 RAYMOND FIDDLER Raymond J. Fiddler of Standish, age 77, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Ingham County Medical Center. He was born May 4, 1921 in Pinconning. Mr. Fiddler married the former Dorothy Davis in 1947 in Standish. He was a lifelong area resident. He worked for Dow as a welding engineer for many years retiring in 1979. Ray was a deputy sheriff for 10 years in Arenac County. He played in the Northeast Baseball League for many years. Mr. Fiddler was a member of Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church. Survivors are: Wife, Dorothy; one son, Rick (Darbie) Fiddler of Ada; one daughter, Judy (Robert) Orr of Haslett; four grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Cyr, of Tennessee; three foster sons, Don Smith, Larry and Jim Davidson; several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Tom Edward, Leonard, and four sisters, Frances, Agnes, Clay and Bernice, preceded him. Rite of Christian Burial was held Monday, Dec. 28, 1998 at 11 a.m. from Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church in Standish with the Rev. Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating. Cremation followed services.  [2]
